Good things all come at once!
- Both the groups who we nominated for a KAVS (King’s Award for Voluntary Service, the charity MBE) were successful! Well done Znaniye and Mindfood, both from Ealing; we’ve had a number of dealings with both groups and were super impressed every time, and knew that they thoroughly deserved the accolade. Their achievement is even more impressive when you consider that they were two of only five awarded the honour in the whole of Greater London!
- Two of the groups we supported in their fundraising efforts have also been successful. Both Millan Women’s Social Group and Perivale Social Club were awarded substantial sums by the National Lottery. The whole experience also helped us acquire very valuable experience in supporting fundraising efforts.
- Last, but not least, well done to The Store Cupboard of Hanwell in becoming a CIO! As they discovered, this can be a long and challenging process, but with their persistence and our hands-on support, they were ultimately successful.
In other news, those of you involved in our Child Poverty initiative will soon be receiving the first draft of the long-promised comprehensive directory of available services, after which I’ll talk to all of you to include your knowledge and expertise and to see how we can take the initiative forward.
Those interested in Impact Assessment might also be interested in our progress with our own internal exercise in this area. We’ve produced a Theory of Change (which gives a good overview of what FF is all about) and are now developing and implementing the associated Measurement Framework. Get in touch if interested!
