After our successful event dedicated to Child Poverty held recently at Perceval House, we’ve now developed an Action Plan based on the feedback from the event.

Aiming to get real gains as quickly as possible for the 20 groups who attended (and of course anybody else who wants to join in) we have decided to go for a comprehensive directory of support services available, something that would tick the boxes of a lot of the requirements identified as essential by the delegates at the event.

The next moves will see both us and Ealing council compiling what we know, and we’re asking all concerned bodies to share both the services they offer and any others they know about, so of course get in touch (info@freshwaterfoundation.org.uk) if you have anything to contribute.

Once a draft list is compiled, we’ll be calling another (online) meeting to take it forward, both to fill in any gaps and use it as a basis for discussion with our local councils and other relevant bodies about actions to be taken to improve information sharing where shortcomings have been revealed and as a springboard to examine the state of child poverty provision in general.
