IMPACT Theatre is a charity which works with people with learning disabilities in the West London area through the performing and creative arts.
We funded a group of their learning-disabled members and staff to travel to Paris in the summer of 2019. The group visited the immersive digital exhibition at Atelier des Lumiers which afforded a journey into Van Gogh’s masterpieces. They also visited Monet’s Garden at Giverny – a completely different experience which gave the members the opportunity to see the place where Monet created many of his works. The members and staff who took part in the trip and those who saw the presentation were so inspired that they have since been working towards putting on our own Immersive Exhibition, expected to take place over November-December 2021.
