Artification aims to build and transform communities through the production and appreciation of art. It has a 16-year track record of getting all sections of the community involved in art that has brought people together, animated and empowered them and helped improve the lives of their communities. Its power to do this is now widely recognised and respected in both the charity and academic spheres, as well of course within the communities themselves.
The Freshwater Foundation was able to help fund 2 artists workshops at the North Acton Pavilion, which focused on building relations between different sections of the local community. We are also working with them in enhancing our own outreach capabilities and in developing powerful new approaches to governance, management and benefits assessment.
